This teal green necklace scarf was my first ever knitted project. It originally was an item I did not know what I would do with. When I discovered how easy it was to knit with the french knitter and saw I could do something I just kept knitting till the yarn ran out! I sat and pondered what my tube would be. Then I did this with it! Made it a fashionable necklace scarf!
Here is the story of how I began French Knitting.
I have always wanted to knit. I have tried knitting the other traditional ways with no success. I have tried books, videos, people showing me and nothing worked. You see I have dyslexia and I think that might be why regular knitting was so hard for me to grasp.
I so baldy wanted to knit but with out the frustration. I prayed and felt I should try the french knitter. I began by watching a couple of videos to see how it is done. It seemed something I could try. So I set out to try. It took me a few times trying to wrap it right, but before I knew it I was knitting away with that magnificent little knitted tube coming out the other end of the spool that I had made!!! It was a joy a pure joy to feel for the first time like a knitter because I had actually easily knitted something! It was an amazing feeling. One of those ahhhhh moments in life. Since then I have moved into loom knitting which works on the same principle of french knitting, but I love my first love, my french knitter and am on a journey to find all the things out there one can make with this little gadget!
