Today I bring to you a guest post by my dear friend Peggy Hill! Who is an excellent knitter!
If you are sitting…..you could be KNITTING.
When I was a little girl I would watch my mom doing crafts. She would
sew, knit, crochet, macramé, needlepoint and many other crafty projects.
She would even buy me craft kits like latch hook so that I could craft with
her. When I was in high school she took the time and taught me how to
knit; and now I’m very glad that she did.
Even though I’m not a very advanced knitter there are many projects that I
enjoy doing and I have found that any spare time is great knitting time. In
other words, if you are going to be sitting you could be knitting! While you
are sitting and watching TV or listening to an audio book is a great time to
knit. Or if you are going out just carry a small tote holding your current
project and you can knit while you are traveling as a passenger in a car, on a
bus, etc. I carry knitting projects when I have a doctor’s appointment which
really helps with the waiting time. I’ve even seen other knitters in waiting
rooms. You could even carry your knitting with you to sporting events like
a baseball game or hockey game.
My husband and I work in the same office building so I get to knit every day
to and from work while he drives; that’s my favorite time to knit. When is
your favorite time to knit? Please share in a comment below.
