Just want to share where I am and what I have been pondering in my home management........
I love being a homemaker. But I want to be even more efficient. My family is busy and I myself have some goals I want to reach as well outside of homemaking ( but that is still my first calling of course)
Some things I am pondering to do is this,,,
I want to buy my veggies each week and pre-wash and chop them for easy fast dinners in containers that are labeled( for the whole week). Of course go back to my easy dinner menus. Even have eggs pre-boiled for breakfast or lunches, egg salad or to throw in veggie salads for example. I would get as much prep work done in one dedicated day a week as I can for all the weeks meals.
At the moment we have one bath room and we all pitch in to clean, kinda. When I am not cleaning it I ask the kids to. They will its just they will not unless asked in most cases. I am thinking about making a little cleaning katty to sit in corner so all the stuff they need is there to grab and clean. I will say if you mess the counter up you clean it.. you mess the sink up you clean it. Have them do it right then and there,, it won't take long ( my kids are aged 18-13) If you see the toilet dirty clean it. If we all pitch in it will not become over whelming. AT the moment if we let the bathroom go just 2-3 days its awful! LOL
Get more organized in my paper work...
Extremely simplify my clothing and only have from now on what I need..... Even pre-plan outfits ahead of time for the week and fold them in each days section. I have always had a hard time and spend to much time figuring out what to wear. This would stop that!
I would have a home blessing day. I work in my home every day but I could dedicate a day to doing the food prep for the week, including shopping for it, planing meals and clothing choices in particular to help the rest of my week run even smoother. I just have to pick which day it will be!
I actually have fun pondering this stuff!! I am still pondering , fine tuning and will probably add even more to my list of better efficiency. Its fun because in homemaking I am always evolving to help my home run better for all of us here.
