I received this book from Book Sneeze to read and review. I was so happy to read this book for them. It came at just the right time of my growth in this subject as I pondered the topic of mercy. There was so many great points Robert guided me to on the topic of mercy that I never realized before.
Gelinas wrote " To say that God is merciful means that God loves us as we are not as we should be. The day will come when we are perfected in God's presence, but God won't wait until then to love us!" This realization even more was key to opening my heart bigger to mercy for others and myself. Such a simple truth I needed to hear as I carry guilt and I expect to much of myself as a perfectionist. ONLY Jesus is perfect yet in our imperfections he still loves us NOW as we are.
This book was an amazing read. I can say it has opened my eyes bigger to a better understanding of God's mercy like no other book has ever done besides the Bible. I have been carrying the guilt chain for so long and it is so heavy. Also I have thought I forgave certain people in my life only to find out I had not in God's way! This book set me free! Truly. It gave me a deeper appreciation for the mercy & heart of God. It has taught me about the true nature of God in a deeper more understandable intimate way. This in turn has allowed me to give Mercy as it should be given to others including myself. That chain of guilt is not heavy anymore because it is gone.
In closing if you are a sinner,or have hurt someone, done something wrong, or a victim some one hurt you in some way you need to read this book! It will free you!
