Ok I love craft stores. I get so inspired to make so many things when I see all the possibilities and pretty stuff. But I have a problem with buying crating supplies when ideas in mind. Some I do but other sit & sit & sit! Do you know what I mean? So I thought about bringing once a month to set aside some hours ( I love a busy life) to bring some balance to my life & this situation. I get joy when I craft. Plus I also needed to use some things that have sat around forever. So I thought let me do some random crafting out of what I already have and not dare to step foot again into a craft store until I do! I also thought it would be neat to share this personal challenge with some other blogging ladies. So below is some super easy & fast crafts ( I love easy crafting not hard lol) I am sharing with you. I will also introduce you to the other ladies below who are in the Craft What You Have Challenge!
I have had a Daisy Kingdom Apron Kit to sew forever. I mean forever. I love aprons & collect them. I also love cupcakes which this apron has. I also love pearls which this apron had. It was high time to make it. I love the way it turned out. It felt good to get it done & out of the storage. I also traced the pattern of it onto a large piece of cloth to remake in another style the same apron at a future date. I will reference back to this apron in that post soon as I make them and share it.
My girl is so skilled in eating with chopsticks. I am not. It is so cute to see her eat almost every meal with her beloved chopsticks. She wanted a case to carry them in her purse for portable eating. I had a lot of scraps of fabric on hand & some long zippers. I made her a case in less than 5 minutes. It was nothing fancy but durable. She loves it! She likes the color blue so I used the blue with polka dots fabric and lined it with a cream colored fabric.
I also have pre-printed fabrics with pillows you can sew. You just cut them out & sew. Super easy. I have a lot of them. I bought them on clearance ages ago. I have a little toddler friend I figured I would make one for.
Yet again some of the pre-printed fabric's I had some birds. Large to large for me to really do a pillow so I cut some of different sizes out & mod podged to a pre-spray painted canvas along with some Dollar Tree dollies I had. The canvas was left over from a former project that I took off the canvas. It had also been painted in gray before to keep it easy I kept it as it was. This made some super cute & fast art!
I must say it felt good after a some recent busy weeks to sit and just relax and do something that brings me joy. Ya know in this hurried world we all should slow down to just breath. It also felt good to start tackling my crafting stash & start putting it to some use & do a little purging as I went too. I donated some items I know I will never craft haha & freed up space.
Now in this challenge I invited others to join me! I would love to share with you Rachel from Beautifully Poor & her Craft Stash Challenge post! Her craft is simply LOVELY! Stop by to visit!
