I needed a Christmas wreath for my front door. I did not want to spend a lot of money & wanted to be frugal. I wanted to have fun making a holiday wreath and not just buy one. So I went to the local Dollar Tree and bought a one dollar wire wreath & 2 packs of garland for a grand total of $3. I used old odd & ends ornaments I was about to toss out if I had not figured out to use them on this wreath. I used scrap ribbon for my hanger.
This project only took minutes to make. I looped the garland to make it thicker and then weaved each loop through the wire. That's pretty much it. I would bend a tiny piece on the inside to hook it in place. each loop facing the outer edges I would give a light twist to shape it. Before I knew it the wreath was full. Next I simply hot glued on the ornaments. This wreath is not a perfect one but I like to call my glorious sloppy fun wreath. It looks great & was so much fun to make. Any one can make one of these.
This wreath ends up being a really good size 17 X 17 !!! It looks great on my front door.
