This post was written in 2013. I am now republishing it again in 2015 to bring a flash back in time.
Days ago I wrote a post called Just Pondering, you can find HERE on some thoughts on how to make my week run easier. So today rather than ponder it, I did it! I spent some time while watching a show on my ipad mini chopping veggies, making chicken salad,boiling eggs etc for easy healthy fast meals, I have already pre-planned out in a dinner & lunch menu. Now, some things are not already cooked such as noodles etc. But all the prep work I did today will make eating healthier easier & much faster! You see we got stuck in a trap where we would grab to much take out because life got busy, plus we don't believe in micro waves. So every single time we need a fast meal we had to cook from scratch or drag out pots to re -heat everything, every meal! But I planned meals that would lessen the dish stress in our tiny home (because we have no dish washer either) such as one pot dinners, salads, soups. So if we eat healthier salads, my homemade chicken salad, or our pre-cut veggies for snacks etc, in the lunch times or in between we won't even ever desire a micro wave and we are eating healthy! It's a win , win! It shortens time in the kitchen on those busy days to much might be going on. Not to mention saving a ton of money!
I also checked the weather report for the week and pre-planned all my outfits! Yes I finally did it and while I did it, I dug deep into my cluttered fashionista heart and got rid of more of what I don't need or rarely wear to share with someone who may need it. It's so hard for me each day to find what I want to wear, I am very picky about clothing. I do not want to spend time putting something on only to change it a few minutes later. I pre-planned my clothes and put them away in a drawer just for that week and I am sticking to it! NO turning back ( unless weather changes drastically of course.)
I also placed the cleaning supplies in the bath room and set out the rules for the kids ( and myself) to clean when you see something actually needs it at that time you see it! Done!
I love this new feeling of actually being prepared for the week! Amazing & freeing. Now to ponder some more things to make my home run smoother................
