I love easy and as you know I love cheap. We recently moved to a town house apartment and I am doing my thing. We have a big brown shelf. We are not sure if we want to paint it. But I knew I wanted to do something to make it pop & to freshen it up a bit in the meanwhile. And lets be honest I dread the idea of painting this beast of a shelf because it is big at 7 feet tall & very deep.
Recently I was in Target. I found this roll of wrapping paper on clearance and had an idea. I simply lined the back of the shelf with it. It only took minutes. I used plain old masking tape rolled backwards. I tested it first on the shelf. It holds well with out leaving behind a sticky mess and can be removed easy at anytime. So it was the perfect choice to mount the paper. This project only took minutes while I watched one of my favorite shows on TV called Knock It Off (a show of two mom bloggers who can DYI amazing on a cheap budget) Go figure! :-) I love my new shelf look! It cheaply at under $2.69 made it fresh looking, not to mention I have lots of paper left over to wrap gifts!
