I wanted a wreath for my door. I did not want to invest a lot of money. I love to be frugal and it also creates a fun challenge for me. Yes, I find it fun to make what I want happen as cheaply as possible. I did toy with the idea of buying a wreath at Micheal's on sale with pretty flowers & such but it would of cost me 35 dollars! Instead I went to the Dollar Tree and bought the largest wreath they had for a dollar. I then went home and looked through my scrap fabrics and found this cheery blue & white checkered print. I cut it and folded it into a nice ribbon and hot glued it together.
I had been given some different shades of blue remnant balls of yarn from my dearest friend. I thought this is perfect the yarn is not enough to make anything big with but just enough to make a few small items. So I went to work with my french knitter. I knitted flowers all within the same family of colors as my make shift ribbon. I hot glued them on and there I was with the cutest hand knitted wreath I have ever seen! I LOVE IT! I love simple projects and this was certainly a simple one. This only took a day to make.
I love to reuse & re-purpose scraps & odds in ends to make something special!
