We are a busy family let me tell you! I have a teen that I have to mom taxi every day to something. I have business appointments, doctor appointments you name it. We volunteer. I have a son living at home in college, and working his first internship. The list is never ending of all we have to do in week. We simply do not have a lot of time in the morning to cook a nutritious breakfast. But breakfast is so very important to fuel our day we simply can not ignore it. It is in fact the most important meal of the day after going all night with no food. Those days we did ignore breakfast, we paid the price later in the day. Sometimes we even would just grab donuts! I know, I know that's not good at all. So I ended up loving the idea of easy fast smoothies as the problem solver for us! I want to share with you one of my fast go to smoothies I like to do for hurried mornings. I love shopping at my Raleigh N.C. Kroger for my go to items. So I always stop in about every week for fresh veggies,fruits & Carnation Breakfast Essentials®.
I totally believe in prep work on your down time. When you prep ahead of time it can save you precious moments when you simply do not have it to spare. So I like to chop my fruits & veggies before hand, when I can.
Here is what you will need to make my busy morning smoothies for you and your family.
This is so yummy and easy as I watch my calories. With this breakfast if you add yogurt your total is only at 356.50 without it is even less. This week I opted out of yogurt but that changes from week to week.
I also want to share another tip to make your morning even faster. On your down time during the week, prep your fruits & veggies and freeze it in a jar or other container. You can freeze it alone or also go ahead and add milk too. If you add the milk, just be sure to pull it from the freezer the night before and sit it in the refrigerator to thaw out so you can just dump the contents into the blender with your Carnation Breakfast Essentials®!
So on your next busy morning just grab your prepared jar and add with the complete nutritional drink powder packet in your blender. My favorite flavor is the chocolate. Oh my! It is so good in the smoothie. I am telling ya having these jars prepared ahead of time saves so much chopping time in the A.M.! It's beautiful.
I want to point out if you do not want to use the power packets or run out you can also use the Carnation Breakfast Essentials® Ready-to-Drink Bottles in place of milk & the packets.
