Today I have a guest blogger. It is my teen daughter Gabriella. She makes the best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had. Truly! She is going to share her method & recipe with us & I am so excited to share it with you. Here is how she does it.
1/2 cup white sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup melted butter ( 1 full stick)
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg ( beaten first before you add)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon hot water
Then add what ever you want in them: for me it's chocolate chips
For my brother it's chocolate chips and almond pieces
Preheat oven to 350
Mix all of the dry and wet ingredients separate
Then mix them together all well
Get a cookie sheet & line with parchment paper
I personally use a mini ice cream scooper
Don't have a heaping pile of dough
Make it even on top
Put the cookies 3 wide and 4 in length
Bake for 10-12 minutes
My special trick is to wait for the cookies to puff up then gently press them with a spatula to puff the air out so you don't add more time for burnt cookies. Do not over cook the cookies or they will be dry. They are ok just a tad bit under done. The cookies will stay moist longer than over baked cookies. I personally prefer them that way & warm straight from the oven!
