A great place to visit here in the Raleigh NC area is the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences. Admission is free to all. They have something for everyone to see & to fascinate. If you are a visitor to Raleigh this is a must see destination. I love taking my homeschooler to this great museum.
The above pictures do not do the museum justice. There is so much more to be seen, it was just impossible to share it all with you here but I hope it will give you some sort of an idea!
The only exhibit that costs in the Museum is the non permanent exhibit that is often a traveling exhibit. The latest we had was The World's Largest Dinosaur which leaves April 12th and a new one will come in it's place. You will see some highlight pictures of that exhibit in my picture gallery above as well as highlight pictures of other permanent exhibits.
They also have a Discovery room for kids where they can touch & explore anything they wish! There is even an enclosed bee colony kids can walk up & see the bees hard at work & see the Queen bee!
Below is a great artist rendering of the newest part of the Museum. The Nature Research Center at the Daily Planet! Yes it is inside the globe!
